Who might enjoy The Old Post Office

Our self-catering cottage, variously described as 'The Faery House' and 'The Little House' as well as The Old Post Office, appeals to romantics, business people, those exploring the local sights, and those needing accommodation in a more rural setting, with some garden to enjoy.

Positioned close to Cambridge

A romantic retreat; business or sight-seeing base; visitors to local hospitals; privacy and outdoor space.

The cottage provides privacy, space and comfort as a retreat, in the middle of a quiet quintessentially English village.  The orangery and patio area overlook Hilton Hall and garden.   Cotton linen on double bed, towels provided, not overlooked, bed-settee, sofa in orangery - comfort assured!

There is a range of local restaurants in nearby villages, St Ives town and Cambridge.  Or, dine in the cottage and retire to a spacious bedroom.  Space for bikes outside, no yellow lines for parking.   For business people, there is a desk and wifi, table in the orangery, and easy access to major routes.

It is a 5 minute walk to t
he village shop - a newsagent and post office.  Next to it is the Prince of Wales village pub.

For those on tour, enjoy local walks or cycle rides as far as the Great Ouse, around villages, Cambridge or Huntingdon, to water mills and riverside pubs.  The local market town of St Ives has frequent and varied market stalls to visit and a carpark with guided busway into Cambridge.
Walks around the village of Hilton with its Green, historic maze and range of architecture add to the pleasure.

Located within 12 miles of three hospitals, The Old Post Office makes a convenient base for friends and family of those being cared for at Hinchingbrooke, Royal Papworth and Addenbrookes hospitals.
